How Does Laser Carbon Skin Rejuvenation Work?

The laser treatment is suitable for all ages and can lighten age spots and dark spots, fade freckles, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, shrink pores, and remove blackheads and acne. It can also lift and tighten the skin, improve elasticity, moisturise and give a bright and radiant complexion.

The principle behind the black doll treatment is that carbon powder possesses a strong capacity to absorb dirt deep in the pores. The face (and neck) is first coated with carbon nano-particles. Next the laser is used on the skin. The medical-graded laser allows the particles to penetrate deep into pores, shattering the epidermal keratinocytes and dirt. The heat from the laser also enables the carbon powder to be absorbed into the skin, stimulating the skin cells. Regeneration occurs by encouraging growth of collagen and elastic fibres.

The Process

After cleansing Carbon Paste is massaged into face, then high intensity pulses of light are delivered from the laser which destroys debris clogged in the pores. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO REMOVE A TATTOO?
The number of treatments required depends on the size of your tattoo, the quality of the inks used by the tattooist and the depth at which he placed the ink in your skin. Most tattoos take between 6-10 treatments, but some can take longer for complete removal. The sessions will be spaced approx 6 weeks apart for the best results. If you are looking for a fade down of the tattoo as you are having a cover up in its place we normally recommend four sessions.

WILL I HAVE A SCAR?
No. When using the q-switched Nd:Yag laser and following the "aftercare instructions" provided, there is minimal to no scarring, from this procedure. However, in rare cases, those with scarring disorders, such as keloids, have an increased risk of forming a scar.

HOW DOES THE ND YAG LASER WORK TO REMOVE THE INK?
The laser emits a pulse of light that is preferentially absorbed into certain colours of ink. The light enters the skin at a speed that is too fast to heat the tissues (billionths of a second), instead, it produces a 'shock wave' effect and breaks up the ink particles into smaller pieces, the body then recognises these particles as something that shouldn't be there and attacks it. The particles are then removed naturally via the body's own elimination system.

DOES LASER TATTOO REMOVAL HURT?
If you are thinking about laser tattoo removal, your most burning questions may be "Does it hurt?! and 'How much does it hurt?' Tattoo removal causes a certain amount of physical pain and irritation to the area being treated but it is not the same for everyone.

Laser tattoo removal has been likened by some clients to the feeling of having a rubber band snapped on your skin. Others describe it as a rapid succession of pricks. While some say it feels like someone scratching sunburn. Tattoo removal treatments on areas with more fat like the arms and buttocks are generally not as painful as areas where there is less fat or close to a bone like the neck, ankle or finger.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS AFTER TREATMENT?

Redness and swelling may occur, similar to sunburn. This settles within a few days. Some patients may blister, which is quite normal and does not indicate potential scarring. Please refer to the aftercare advice sheet.

The treated area should not be exposed to strong sunlight between sessions without the use of sunblock (SPF 30).

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?

We recommend you have a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 treatments before having a break of 4 weeks to allow your body to recover

IS THE NON SURGICAL CAVITATION AND LIPO TREATMENT PAINFUL?
No. This treatment is painless. In fact, it is very relaxing! During the 4K Ultrasound clients may experience a brief high pitched ringing in the ear during the ultrasound and then a warming feeling when the radio frequency is in action, so it is certainly not uncomfortable.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?

The non surgical lipo and cavitation treatment is a very effective procedure and the majority of clients experience noticeable circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after each visit. The results may vary with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications, and changes in hormones. Proper diet and increased physical activity will certainly improve and help to maintain the results.

DO I NEED TO FOLLOW ANY GUIDELINES BEFORE OR AFTER MY TREATMENT?

Try to avoid doing anything that will irritate your skin immediately before treatment. This includes tanning (natural or artificial). It would be more likely to suffer pain from the addition of heat to the already damaged skin; however an established tan would be fine.
Do not have hot shower, bath or sauna right after the Ultrasound treatment
Drink at least three litres of water after treatment this will help to improve your metabolism and increase urine output - lipid metabolites release out of your body.
For best results you should refrain from any alcohol consumption for 48 hours after the treatment. Alcohol consumption during this period may prevent your liver from removing the deactivated fat cells from your body (as the liver will assign priority to removing the alcohol from your blood).

WHAT IS THE PRE TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS & AFTERCARE?

A dimpled appearance in the skin caused by cellulite is a common complaint from our female clients especially on the thighs, buttocks and upper arms. Cellulite can be safely and effectively treated using the combined RF treatment programme.

Treatment - what to expect?

During the cellulite treatment, your laser technician will apply the treatment tip to your skin, precisely heating the skin's inner layer (dermis), while its out layer (epidermis) is continually cooled. Depending on the size of the treated area, treatment may take from about 30-75 minutes. You should see a gradual improvement.

Following treatment, you can immediately resume all routine activities. You may notice slight temporary redness, which should disappear in less than 24 hours. While the procedure has shown to be safe, effective and long-lasting, maintenance treatments may extend and improve upon results.

How does Radio Frequency Assist in Cellulite Reduction?

Radio Frequency is successful in cellulite and fat reduction as it improves blood flow to the treated area which therefore promotes the breakdown of fat cells, aiding in the reabsorption and drainage of fatty deposits and retained fluids.

What should I know First?

To maximise the effects of your treatment please ensure that you: Drink 2 liters of filtered or spring water before and after each treatment. (Not soda or carbonated water). Follow a Low GI diet- protein with every meal. Exercise for at least half an hour following each treatment (preferably within 6 hours of the treatment) to stimulate lymphatic activity and follow a suitable daily exercise plan. Skin brush daily before showering in between treatments. No alcohol for at least 72 hours after treatment.

When will I see results?

Most clients will see results immediately after their first treatment, and the best results will be after 3 days of having the treatment, but we do highly recommend having at least 6 treatments to maximise results and get the longevity out of the procedure.

Micro Needling & Derma Roller Treatments in Southampton What is Dermaroller?
This is a treatment that stimulates skin regeneration and repair through micro-surgical needling using a specially-designed device. The needles and very fine and penetrate the upper part of the skin only, making this a comfortable treatment. "No pain, no gain" really doesn't apply! - The device is sterile and used for one treatment only.

How does it work?

Is there any side effects?

Is it painful?

How many treatments do I need?
Typically 3 treatments are recommended for rejuvenation treatments, and up to 5 for acne scarring. Results are usually seen from 6 weeks onwards.

Fungal nail infections (onychomycosis) are very common - affecting up to one in ten of the UK population. Toenail fungus is an infection underneath the surface of the nail caused by fungi.

When the tiny organisms take hold, the nail often becomes darker in color and smells foul. Debris may collect beneath the nail plate, white marks frequently appear on the nail plate, and the infection is capable of spreading to other toenails, the skin, or even the fingernails. If ignored, the infection can spread and possibly impair your ability to work or even walk. The resulting thicker nails are difficult to trim and make walking painful when wearing shoes. Onychomycosis can also be accompanied by a secondary bacterial or yeast infection in or about the nail plate.
